Abstract: Authors analyse Polish and Bulgarian etiquette lexis, its etymology, morphology and significance. Polish lexis is richer, but a large part comes from French, Latin and German. Bulgarian vocabulary frequently comes from Old Church Slavonic. Polish and Bulgarian are relative; however it is difficult to find similarities of phraseology, because it was created on different historical background.
