Abstract: This paper studies the problem of the form, character and manifestation of gender as a grammatical category in various parts of speech. It’s concerned with their influence upon each other resulting in new forms called hybrid forms. The object of research are three Slavic languages – Bulgarian, Russian, and Polish – as representatives of three subgroups (South Slavic, East Slavic and West Slavic) in the Slavic language com- munity.
