Assoc. Prof. PhD Krasimira CHAKAROVA (krasian@uni-plovdiv.bg) is a linguist at the Department of Bulgarian Language at the Faculty of Philology at the Paisii Hilendarski University of Plovdiv. She is the director of the Department of Language and Specialized Training of Foreign Students at the same university. Her research interests are in the field of Morphology and Stylistics of Contemporary Bulgarian Language, the Contrastive grammar of the Slavic Languages, the Functional grammar, the Contrastive Aspectology, the Methodology of Teaching Bulgarian as a foreign language. She is the author of The Phenomenon of the Stylistic Error (How To Discover and Edit the Insidious Satellites of Our Speech) (published in 1999 in co-authorship with P. Kostova), A Handbook of Bulgarian Morphology (2000), Aspectuality and Quantity (2003), The Imperative in the Modern Bulgarian Language (2009).
