Abstract: The present paper contains observations on the cases in which Latin is used in the contemporary Bulgarian writing. It discusses the reasons for this, as well as the main cases in which the words are written in Latin – in cartography and topography, in the commercial sphere, and in the digital communication. It also focuses on the transliteration process in tourism and in the area of issuing personal documents.
