Abstract: Studies of Russian phraseology in Bulgaria are closely connected with Russian theory of phraseology and lexicography and in general have been conducted in comparison with Bulgarian language in the following fields: 1. Study of theoretical problems in phraseology. Comparative research. 2. Theory and praxis of bilingual phraseography. 3. Translation of idioms. 4. Methodology of phraseology teaching.
In recent years phraseology is being studied in the context of culture.
