Abstract: The paper is an attempt to describe the semantics of the key words (the center) of the concept istina in Russian and Bulgarian. This is achieved through componential analysis, i.e. finding semantic parameters that serve as a basis of describing differential elements of meaning – semas of the words istina and pravda.
