Abstract: The question about Konstantin-Cyril and Methodius ethnic origin is one of the most discussed questions in Slavic philology and medieval studies. The paper tries to gather and present all hypotheses in this regard. Special attention is paid to the two most popular ones – the Greek and Slavic hypotheses.
