Abstract: The present paper discusses the process of teaching Serbian and some of the orthographic mistakes most frequently made by the Bulgarian students. Our attention is mainly focused on errors in the field of orthography. The paper contains an overview of the most common errors in the written work of foreign students who study Serbian language on the one hand, and on the other presents an analysis and interpretation of the results obtained from the research.
